Painting with plants: the art of garden design
Dan Pearson’s award-winning landscape and garden designs are internationally renowned. His horticultural expertise and intuitive approach to the organisation of space complement his painterly, naturalistic planting designs. He creates gardens where the hand of the designer is almost undetectable, which feel close to nature and as though they have always been there. In a wide ranging talk, Dan explains how the artistic principles behind the use of colour and composition can be applied to planting and landscaping.
Dan also discusses some of his recent projects, including the Tokachi Millenium Forest in Japan (where garden design is an ancient art form) - and his design for the Laurent-Perrier Chatsworth Garden which won best in show at the Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Flower Show 2015.
