The Lord Chamberlain’s Men invite you to join them this summer for Shakespeare’s most hilarious farce,The Comedy of Errors.
This fantastical comedy follows two pairs of identical twins, Antipholus of Syracuse and Antipholus of Ephesus, and their servants, both named Dromio. When they were babies, the twins and their parents were separated in a shipwreck. Now, years later, as one half of the twins search for the other they unwittingly find themselves in the same city on the same day.

A magical and comically entwined tale of merchants, masters, parents, servants and a long-suffering wife plays itself out over the course of one hectic day. This riotous rollercoaster of a comedy will keep you guessing and laughing until its joyous conclusion.

Bring a chair and a picnic and spend a glorious summer’s evening watching this funny, magical and fast-paced production of one of Shakespeare’s best comedies.
Performed in the open air, by an all-male cast with Elizabethan costume, music and dance, this is undoubtedly one of the hottest tickets of the summer.

Will the play still take place if the weather is poor?
The play will take place whatever the weather, so please come prepared for all weather conditions.
What time do the performances start?
The gates will open at 6.30pm and the performance will take place from 7.30pm to approximately 9.30pm.
Does my ticket include admission to the garden during the day?
No, tickets include admission to the garden from 6.30pm. You can also buy day tickets to the garden.
What refreshments are available?
There will be sandwiches and freshly made pasties, as well as tea and coffee available to buy on the night.
Can I get a refund?
Unfortunately, tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Do children pay?
Children aged 3 and under get into the concert for free and do not require a ticket. Children aged 4 and over will need to purchase a ticket for the event at the prices quoted above.
What if I have lost my tickets?
Chatsworth does not accept responsibility for the loss of tickets.
When will tickets from online bookings be sent out?
Tickets will be posted out in waves from early June 2017 up to the week before the concert. Tickets purchased until midnight 6 August 2017 will be posted. Tickets booked from 7 August will be available for collection from the Box Office on the night. Please call the Chatsworth Bookings Office on 01246 565 430 if you have any queries.
What's the last day for booking tickets online?
Online booking will be available until 9 August 2017, after which tickets will be available on site, and at the entrance to the concert, subject to availability. Please note that this event is extremely popular and may sell out before the night of the performance.
Can I bring gazebos, tents, barbecues or awnings?
Please bring along your own picnic rugs and chairs. Unfortunately barbecues, gazebos, tents, awnings and Chinese lanterns are not permitted.
Can I take photographs?
Photographs are permitted for non-commercial purposes.
Can I bring a dog?
It is not suitable to bring your dog to this event.
Is there discount for groups?
There are no group discounts for the theatre performance.
