New - Living Sculptures

Calling all budding designers.  To celebrate the first ever RHS Chatsworth Flower Show in 2017 we're experimenting with natural materials and the potential they hold to be transformed into works of art.  Our Living Sculpture session will work with a range of materials and explore some of the permanent sculpture collection and garden features at Chatsworth.

Garden tour

Key stage 1 - 5 and Higher Education
Allow 1.5 hours

The 105 acre garden is full of surprises with waterworks, inspiring sculptures and amazing plants to discover. Pupils will explore the landscape with an intrepid garden guide to uncover some of its hidden stories and secrets.

Specialist tours can also be arranged on request.

Garden sculpture tour

Chatsworth is the perfect place to explore great art in a relaxed, open-air setting, with sculptures by Elisabeth Frink, Allen Jones, David Nash, Richard Long and more. Look out for Beyond Limits, Sotheby's famous sculpture exhibition, now well established every autumn.

This session is focussed on our glasshouses and their importance to the estate. From Sir Joseph Paxton through to the Gardens team today, the glasshouses have been used to create rich and varied habitats to home a vast array of species from all over the world.

Join us on a tour of our Kitchen garden and discover more about how we grow and use our fruit and vegetables. This unique insight into our Kitchen garden will involve seasonal activities to promote an understanding of the life cycle of plants.
