The 2006 Angling Fair was the last of its kind

After many years of hosting an annual Angling Fair, the Chatsworth Estate has decided to end this event, and therefore the 2006 Angling Fair was the last of its kind.

Although the Angling Fair provided entertainment, leisure and education for many years, the last four years have suffered from increasingly poor weather which damaged the historic park. The Chatsworth Estate, together with the event organiser, have decided that the event cannot continue to the standards Chatsworth and our visitors expect. We would like to thank the loyal Angling Fair audiences, expert demonstrators and the Trade Stands for their support over many years. We intend to develop the 'Fisherman's Row' at the Country Fair as part of our continuous improvement of that event.

There are exciting plans for the development of our other outdoor events at Chatsworth and the possible introduction of new events which we believe will also be of great interest to a wide audience.
