We are delighted to be hosting a series of floral demonstrations and workshops led by Jonathan Moseley in the beautiful 19th century Theatre at Chatsworth during 2008.

Jonathan is a member of both the North East and North Midlands Areas of NAFAS and and Vice Chairman of the National Demonstrators' Committee. He works as a professional florist and travels extensively presenting demonstrations and workshops around the country and abroad on both traditional and contemporary styles of floral design. Garden plant materials are his passion and he is respected for his large scale experimental designs and his friendly and enthusiastic approach to demonstrating.

Autumn at Chatsworth is one of the most enchanting seasons, join us to celebrate the abundance of natures harvest for this special demonstration using the breathtaking colours and the fruits of the season to produce a selection of floral designs that will inspire you to see the glories of nature at this most atmospheric time of year.

On this workshop we will design a striking Autumn table centre and a novel and exciting design with a distinct Halloween theme. Both of these unique designs will feature magnificent Autumnal plant materials from Chatsworth, combined with fruits, seed pods and berries. You will learn the skills on how to dry and preserve plant materials enabling you to create further designs with the techniques that you will learn.

At this most magical time of year join us for a demonstration of floral designs for Christmas. Come and see the stage transformed into a host of inspirational floral designs utilising many of the new and exciting products available from the garden shop in the stable yard. This performance will certainly set the scene for the start of your Christmas preparations and you will leave feeling enchanted by the magic of Christmas at Chatsworth.

Treat yourself to a day of floral designs for Christmas. Join us to create two festive designs which will grace any home over the festive period. We will make a fabulous welcome ring for the door, using evergreen foliages from Chatsworth, dried fruits, nuts cones and berries to make that most splendid welcome for any door. The table centre will impress and be the envy of all your guests, rich in traditional colours and seasonal materials sourced directly from the exciting collection of Christmas decorations here at Chatsworth.

The demonstrations are for 1 hour and 20 minutes approximately, starting at 11am and 2.30pm - £10 per person per demonstration (including admission to the garden).

The workshops start at 10.30am and finish at 3pm - £90 per person including lunch (vegetarian options available on request).

There is a long staircase up to the Theatre. We can arrange assisted access, but please contact us in advance if you will need any assistance.
