Chatsworth provides one of the country's most spectacular settings for a horse trials, with the cross-country course providing two days' great viewing as it winds around the beautiful park on the banks of the river Derwent.

The horse trials, which has the Duchess of Devonshire as President, is now firmly established as a diary must for all the top international riders, with the prestigious World Cup qualifier class on Sunday being a focal point.

It also offers a brilliant family outing with attractions including Chariots of Fire, Pony Club Mounted Games, Owls Galore, sheepdog and birds of prey displays, animal-petting, face-painting, Punch & Judy and a huge variety of shopping at around 100 quality tradestands.
