The prestigious Devonshire Hotels and Restaurants are within the Devonshire Group of businesses, part of the Duke of Devonshire's estate, which includes Chatsworth.

This post is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or experienced administrator looking to work full in this area.

You will report directly to the HR Manager based in North Yorkshire, working with her developing systems and practices to react to the business' evolving requirements. You will be guided and coached by the HR Manager on the essentials of HR management.

The Devonshire Hotels and Restaurants comprises three hotels; The Devonshire Country House Hotel, Yorkshire, The Fell Hotel, Yorkshire and the Devonshire Arms Hotel, Derbyshire and three restaurants based in Yorkshire. The establishments are all absolutely first class and of varied style from formal to very modern, all have exacting standards of food and service and you will play a key part in maintaining and wherever possible improving those standards.

Job Description

The Devonshire Arms, Beeley

Located on the Chatsworth Estate, The Devonshire Arms at Beeley is a traditional English country pub with a contemporary twist, oak beams, open fires and nooks and crannies. It is also the perfect spot to relax whist being served cask ales and quality food and wines in the vibrant Brasserie.

Front of House/Restaurant Manager

Our vibrant and award winning Gastro Pub is open 7 days a week and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as accommodation. As the Manager, you will ensure the highest standards of food and service are delivered at all times and troubleshoot operational issues on a daily basis. It is essential that you have held a management or assistant management position and also have bar experience working with a large number of covers. A strong communicator, you will be able to build and develop teamwork and be able to plan and overcome staffing issues. You will be educated to GCSE or equivalent standard with excellent English language skills both oral and written.

Salary: £20,000 to £24,000 depending on experience

Food Attendant

Multi skilled and working across all areas of Food and Beverage services, Food Attendants are able to work on their own initiative and as part of a busy team. Interacting with guests is the most important part of your role which involves setting and clearing tables, service preparation, hosting, order taking, food & drink service and general cleaning duties which includes polishing cutlery & crockery. Most of all, you are well presented and extremely focused on delivering a quality service and product with a smile. Working a combination of shifts over 5 days a week, you will have an outgoing character, positive attitude and friendly manner.

Casual Food Attendant

Multi skilled and working across all areas of Food and Beverage services, Food Attendants are able to work on their own initiative and as part of a busy team. Interacting with guests is the most important part of your role which involves setting and clearing tables, service preparation, hosting, order taking, food & drink service and general cleaning duties which includes polishing cutlery & crockery. Working hours to suit you and the business, you will have an outgoing character, positive attitude and friendly manner.

Salary: £5.66 to £5.80 per hour depending on age

Chef de Partie

Working as a Chef de Partie you will assist the Sous Chefs in the daily preparation and service of food, ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times. You will ensure that your designated section, equipment and utensils are always kept clean and tidy to the required standards.
