Junior Sous Chef

A new position is available within the catering department at Chatsworth providing a unique opportunity to be involved in maintaining our high standard of homemade food for our day visitor as well creative dishes for our fine dining customers within the rapidly expanding events and weddings business.

You should be able to demonstrate an in-depth ability to cook fresh food and a genuine desire to deliver food of the highest quality in all sections of the business. You will assist in the creation of new dishes and menus, using seasonal, fresh produce from local suppliers wherever possible. As part of the team you will also work with the senior chefs to help in the development and training of junior members of the kitchen staff.

Previous experience in a rosette standard restaurant or similar environment is essential as is
exemplary health & safety and hygiene practices.

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week. Flexibility will be essential to meet the needs of the business; however, the majority of the work will be 9.00am-5.30pm. There will be no split shifts.

Restaurant Manager

Up to £30,000 per annum, plus benefits

As the Manager of our Burlington Restaurant, you will deliver effective management to the restaurant, achieving product and service consistent to Michelin/4 Rosette standards, a high degree of guest care and be an exceptional host. Able to meet budget and financial targets and key performance indicators.  You will have a great fine dining knowledge and proven experience, preferably in an establishment holding similar accolades. Also a have a progressive track record in supervisory and managerial positions.

The Devonshire Arms, Beeley

Located on the Chatsworth Estate, The Devonshire Arms at Beeley is the recipient of many awards including 'Good Food Guide Country Pub of the Year', 'Derbyshire Pub of the Year' and 'Yorkshire Pub of the Year' together with achieving a 2AA Rosette status. The Devonshire Arms is a traditional English country pub with a contemporary twist, oak beams, open fires and nooks and crannies and fourteen stylish cottage bedrooms. It is also the perfect spot to relax whist being served cask ales and quality food and wines in the vibrant Brasserie.

Casual Serving Staff

£5.66 - £6.19 per hour dependant on age, plus other benefits

 
Multi skilled and working across all areas of Food and Beverage services, Restaurant Serving Staff are able to work on their own initiative and as part of a busy team.  Interacting with guests is the most important part of your role which involves setting and clearing tables, service preparation, hosting, order taking, food & drink service and general cleaning duties which includes polishing cutlery & crockery.  Most of all, you are well presented and extremely focused on delivering a quality service and product with a smile.  Working hours to suit you and the business, you will have an outgoing character, positive attitude and friendly manner.

The Devonshire Arms at Pilsley is a traditional Inn, serving well kept local cask ales and delicious freshly cooked food. Front of House Manager
Salary up to £25,000 per annum, plus other benefits

As the Manager, you will ensure the highest standards of food and service are delivered at all times and troubleshoot operational issues on a daily basis.  It is essential that you have previously held a senior position and also have restaurant and bar experience working with a large number of covers.  A strong communicator, you will be able to build and develop teamwork and be able to plan and overcome staffing issues. You will be educated to GCSE or equivalent standard with excellent English language skills both oral and written.

As Senior Chef De Partie you will have mastered the basic skills, and have fundamental knowledge of food. You will have a hands-on role, with responsibility for preparing, cooking and presenting a range of dishes.  You will be encouraged to contribute ideas and assist in the development of new dishes and menu items.  Careful attention must be paid to hygiene, health and safety and to portion and waste control.
