There will be a party atmosphere at Chatsworth to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee with a 1950s themed British summer party over the 4 day bank holiday weekend for everyone to experience the excitement of the Coronation.
In the garden
Join our giant street party, with a 100 metre long decorated table.
Have fun at a village fete, with traditional games including a coconut shy, cork guns and much more.
Relax in the summer weather and watch the Jubilee on the Salisbury Lawns on Tuesday 5 June.
Take a themed walking tour around the garden to find all the royal links with Chatsworth, including the visit of 13 year old Princess Victoria (the only other monarch in British history to celebrate a Diamond Jubilee) in 1832. These tours will take place every day from 2-10 June.
In the house, see the robes worn by 4 generations of the Cavendish family at The Queen's Coronation in the Oak Room, and the Devonshire state chariot used by the 11th Duke to attend the Coronation on display in the Painted Hall. These will be on display from 2 June to the end of August.
On 3 June, the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts' Club will aim to display Rolls Royce or Bentley cars from every year of the Queen's reign.
The farmyard will be joining in the celebrations with Jubilee activities.
