Applications to view works of art not normally on show may be made in writing or by email to the Head of Arts and Historic Collections. Email applications and enquiries should always include a postal address and, where possible, a telephone number. All applications will be subject to the approval of the Head of Arts and Historic Collections.

Please give as much notice as possible of your proposed visit. Please note that we are not able to answer enquiries on the telephone.

Opening times
Appointments may be made between 17th March and 31st October 2008, Monday to Friday (except Bank Holidays), 9:30am to 4:30pm.

Reading fees
A Reading Fee of £25.00 (incl. VAT) per person, per day or part of day is charged, but the department reserves the right to vary the fee. Payment must be made, in cash or by sterling cheque drawn on a London bank, at the conclusion of the visit. Cheques should be made payable to Chatsworth Settlement Trustees. Please note that we are unable to accept payment by credit card.
