Learning in the farmyard

Learning in the farmyard | Pre-school and primary | Secondary and beyond | Vocational training and hands-on experience

The farmyard and adventure playground are set in beautiful woods and parkland and are an inspiring, interactive and safe environment in which to work and play. The farmyard team works closely with schools and other youth groups to explore issues of food and farming in an engaging and appropriate way.

A variety of fun and interactive guided activities or resources for a self-guided visit are available to book in advance to help you experience the realities of farming at close hand. Our different themes are designed to support wide-ranging areas of Curriculum learning, and are the best way to make the most of your visit.

If you choose not to book a guided activity, farmyard staff will not be involved in structuring the content of your visit, but may be available to answer questions. Accompanying staff are responsible for guiding their group around the site, and we strongly recommend a pre-visit by the group leader in order to plan how best to use our facilities. Please call 01246 583139 to arrange an appointment.
