Vocational training and hands-on experience

Chatsworth is an active working estate, and an ideal place to learn new skills from textile-conservation to dry-stone walling. Although we are unable to take on everybody interested in gaining experience on the estate, we try our best to create opportunities.

If you are an individual and would like to gain hands-on experience in the house, garden, farmyard or park at Chatsworth, apply for work experience with your chosen department or check our volunteering opportunities.

If you are an educational group leader interested in organising a vocational visit, email your ideas to Claire Fowler, Education Officer.

14 - 19 Diplomas
We are currently working with various local authorities across central England to plan for the new 14 - 19 Diplomas. We are looking forward to supporting secondary schools in their delivery of hands-on experience in various areas, indoors and outside, once the diplomas come into effect.

To read more about 14 - 19 Diplomas go to the dfes website.

For more information about 14 - 19 Diplomas at Chatsworth, email Claire Fowler, Education Officer.
