This years Horse Trials were a great success and the HSBC FEI World Cup made a very exciting finale. A capacity crowd watched in the brilliant sunshine as Australian, Sam Griffiths and his very talented horse 'Happy Times' jumped a clear round to win the World Cup event.
Lucy Wiegersma was the best of the British in second place with ' Woodfalls Inigo Jones' and Fiona Hobby and 'Roma ML' finished in third place.
The two CIC*** sections went to Ruth Edge on 'Carnaval Prince II' and Sharon Hunt and 'Tankers Town'.
The cross country course, designed by Ian Stark, rode extremely well and there were no serious injuries to horses or riders.
In addition to the two days of great equestrian sport - the special attractions proved very popular - with something for all the family!
