The Devonshire Arms at Bolton Abbey, Yorkshire's top small hotel, scoops national title at enjoy England awards for excellence

The Devonshire Arms Country House Hotel and Spa at Bolton Abbey in North Yorkshire was named Small Hotel of the Year at the Enjoy England Awards for Excellence 2008 which were held for the first time ever outside London in St. Georges Hall, Liverpool in celebration of Liverpool, currently European City of Culture and St George's Day.

The hotel beat stiff competition from Combe House Hotel in Devon and Hillbark Hotel in the Wirrel, at the prestigious awards dubbed the 'Oscars' of the tourism industry. The awards are organized by VisitBritain - the nations tourist agency - and are used to promote England as a world-class destination with world-class facilities.

The Devonshire Arms is representative of the best English hotel experience providing highly sophisticated facilities alongside traditional charm and atmosphere.
