New General Manager of Chatsworth House Trust

Chatsworth is delighted to confirm that Sarah Montgomery has been appointed as the General Manager of the Chatsworth House Trust, a new post on the Estate. Her responsibilities will include the house, art collection, garden, farmyard, park and events, and our entire visitor welcome team, and her priority will be to lead our drive to improve all aspects of the visitors' experience at Chatsworth. She will take up this position by May 2007.

Sarah joins us from Warwick Castle, part of the Tussauds Group and one of the most visited historic properties in the UK, where her role is General Manager, responsible for the full profit and loss of the company, sensitive development of a Grade I listed and Scheduled Monument, and building an outstanding team to run all parts of Warwick as a visitor attraction.

The Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, the Directors of the Chatsworth House Trust and Richard Reynolds, Chief Executive of the Devonshire Group, are all delighted that Sarah will be bringing her varied skills and substantial experience to this new role, playing an essential part in the future success of Chatsworth. We look forward to welcoming her and her family to the area later this year.
