Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Fill your shopping basket as you browse by clicking on the items you wish to buy. After you have made your selection, click on 'Order' and you will be asked for your delivery and payment details in order to complete the transaction.
Shipping And Handling
Delivery charges apply to each address to which goods are sent and are determined by the weight of the parcel.
If you are sending more than one item to a single address, the delivery charge will be determined by the combined weight of the order.
For orders to a non-mainland UK address and overseas delivery the delivery charge will de determined by the weight and destination of the order.
Please make sure we have the full name and address, including postcode of the recipient and please include the telephone number.
Please make sure that should no one be at the delivery address, a specified place to leave the goods has been stated. The carrier will only leave goods unsigned for on our instruction and at the recipient's risk. The farm shop at Chatsworth cannot accept responsibility for deliveries that are refused by the recipient, or where the carrier cannot deliver due to incorrect addressing. We are unable to accept responsibility for the actions of our carriers.
Delivery Schedule
Standard deliveries are made between 9am and 5.30pm Tuesday to Friday.
Please make sure we have the full name and address, including the postcode and daytime telephone number of the delivery address.
We aim to ensure that all orders are delivered within 28 days of the order date.
All hampers and gift boxes are delivered overnight by a national carrier. We regret it is not possible to send hampers and gift boxes that contain fresh foods to the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.
Back Orders
All products are subject to availability. If one of our non-food items is not in stock we will contact you to advise of any delay and take instructions accordingly. We reserve the right to substitute products of equal or higher quality and value in our hampers and gift boxes should the need arise.
Last orders for Christmas 2004 must be placed by Saturday 4 December 2004. We reserve the right to close our order books earlier than the above date, so please order promptly.
Tax Charges
VAT at 17.5% is included on standard rated goods delivered to the UK and European Union. VAT will not be charged on goods delivered to America and non-European countries.
Credit Card Security
The secure server software used by Chatsworth encrypts your credit card details, name and address, by using the latest secure technology (128 bit SSL encryption), to guarantee your credit card details remain scrambled whenever they pass over the web. This means shopping on line with us, using your credit card is more secure than giving it to a waiter or waitress in a restaurant.
Privacy Policy
Chatsworth Settlement Trustees do not disclose buyers' information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping basket once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details you select the 'Remember Me' option. Data collected by this site is used
a. take and fulfil customer orders
b. administer and enhance the site and service
c. only disclose information to third parties for goods delivery purposes
Returns Policy
We take every precaution to ensure all goods supplied are in perfect condition, however, should any product not meet your expectations, please return it unused and in the original packaging within five working days. We will either exchange the items or refund the price of the goods. Please note that when returning an item, the parcel is your responsibility until it reaches us. We strongly recommend that you obtain insurance and proof of posting.
We cannot exchange food or beverages as they may have been opened and handled. This does not affect your statutory rights.
All claims for breakage must be brought to our attention in writing or by telephone within three days of receipt.
In the event of non-arrival please contact us within 28 days of the expected delivery date and quote your reference number.
Remittance Terms
We welcome payment by credit card and accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Switch and Delta. Your account will not be debited until your order is ready for despatch.
