Eating and drinking for groups

We know that most groups like to eat together and at a time that fits in with your itinerary. To ensure that this is possible, we have three designated rooms that offer your group the chance to rest recharge and eat in privacy.

The rooms are all based in the impressive stable block at Chatsworth, designed for the 4 th Duke of Devonshire by James Paine and completed in 1764. All the rooms are on the ground floor and are easily accessible for people in wheelchairs. The rooms can be booked, subject to availability.

Chatsworth prides itself on the quality and freshness of the food prepared by our team of chefs and bakers and consequently our delicious buffets reflect the seasonal availability of ingredients. Morning coffee and Afternoon tea is also available.

There is no room hire fee when catering is pre-booked for a group of 20 or more. All of our prices include VAT and are charged per person in addition to the cost of your visit.

Final numbers and any special dietary requirements must be confirmed with the bookings office at least 5 days prior to your visit. Should an alternative menu be required we would be pleased to offer a quotation.

Unfortunately, group menus are not available on weekends, Bank Holiday Mondays or special event days but there are a good choice of hot dishes, salads and snacks available for individuals to purchase.

A non refundable deposit of £70 is required in order to confirm your catering booking. (Cheques payable to Chatsworth Settlement Trustees). The balance can either be paid on the day of your visit or we can invoice you after your visit. Chatsworth will keep your deposit if you cancel less than one week in advance.

We also offer a wide range of food and drink available in the Carriage House restaurant, the new Stables restaurant and at our many food outlets.
