Meet Malcolm Sutton from the Cowhouse Dairy

Malcolm Sutton's family have lived at Postern Lodge Farm for more than a hundred years. Both Malcolm's father and grandfather were farmers, and the business remains a family affair as Malcolm's wife Kate, and their two sons, Richard and William, help to run the dairy.

The Cowhouse Dairy, on the Chatsworth Estate, got its name from the area surrounding the farm, which was once called 'Cowhouse Lane', and it's believed that a cowhouse has existed on the farm since the 1290's.

Malcolm supplies dairy products to Chatsworth's farm shop and restaurants as well as to other homes in Derbyshire, and his range of produce has grown from ice cream to include flavoured milk and yoghurts.

Produced from an award winning stock of Holstein cows, the Cowhouse Dairy ice cream range is constantly being developed, and Malcolm is soon to launch a new range of flavours including lavender and rose petal.
