The South Sketch Gallery with the first window revealed. The view into the courtyard is being recreated for the first time since the gallery was created in the 1830s. The windows were immediately blocked to protect the drawings on display.

...which has now been fully restored.
The beautiful stone work in the inner courtyard has now been cleaned and the gilding restored on the window frames.
The large North front scaffold has started to come down, revealing the beautiful honey-coloured clean stone.
