To make the most of your visit to Chatsworth, plan your day around our great selection of daily talks, tours and transport for all ages, many of which are free with admission.
Please note that all events within or beginning in the house, garden or farmyard require visitors to have paid admission
In the house
Free introductory talk
11.05am, 12.05pm, 1.05pm and 2.05pm
by the weeping ash outside the house entrance
Taster tours of the house
£4 adult, £2 child on top of house entrance. £5 including the private theatre.
11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm in the house entrance
Led by our friendly and enthusiastic guides. After your tour you can re-enter the house to see things at your own pace.
In the garden
Free garden tours
Learn about interesting and hidden aspects of the garden in a tour lasting 45 minutes to 1 hour. Look for the signs at Flora's Temple in the garden for details of the day's tours.
Garden buggy tours - £3 per person
Starting from Flora's temple, lasting approximately 40 minutes. You will be driven around the depths of the garden to see key features such as the ring pond, the rock garden and the cascade and learn about the fascinating history of the garden and wider landscape. Your guide will also talk about sculptures old and new whilst pointing out seasonal photo opportunities.
In the farmyard
