26 June to 2 July - Summer Food Fair at Chatsworth Farm Shop

Chatsworth is serving up a double helping for food lovers with two back to back events showcasing the best of British food. The award winning Chatsworth Farm Shop welcomes back its premier suppliers to this year's Summer Food Fair, from Saturday June 26 to July 2, in the courtyard marquee at the Farm Shop in Pilsley, from 9.00am - 5.30pm each day. (Sunday 27 June, 11am - 5pm)

Suppliers taking part include Peak Ales, the estate brewery; Cow House Dairy, from the Chatsworth estate near Belper; Holdsworth Chocolates from Bakewell and Derbyshire Smokery based in Flagg near Buxton. A selection of suppliers will make each day a different experience for food lovers.  Visitors will also have the opportunity to try delicious free samples and put questions to suppliers on the fantastic food they produce.

The Farm Shop has recreated the best of last year's fair whilst updating it to showcase new produce. Farm Shop manager Andre said "Visitors will have the chance to discover where and how our food is sourced. They will also have the opportunity to taste and discover what they like and perhaps try something new."

3-4 July - Food and Drink Fair at Chatsworth

The Chatsworth Food and Drink Fair takes place on Saturday July 3 to July 4 between the house and stables on Lodge Hill. Visitors can wander around 35 stalls featuring many artisan producers from Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire as well as gourmet treats from further afield. Admission to both events is free. Normal car parking charges of £2 apply at the house.

Foodie treats in store for visitors at the weekend to take home include fruit and savoury pies; farmhouse toffee and fudge; handmade speciality chilli jams; gourmet licorice; gift boxes and hampers filled with handmade chocolate treats; chutneys and relishes and handmade farmhouse cheeses. There's also lots for the hungry visitor from venison and ostrich burgers through to sweeter treats from pancakes to the stunning chocolate fountain featuring the best quality Belgian chocolate.
