The artist Allen Jones writes: The painted stainless steel Screen was originally designed in 2001 to occupy a gap in an old line of Yew trees that screened the gardens of Beamsley Hall at Bolton Abbey from the open countryside beyond. 

The screen awaits a final position in the garden and is not currently on view to visitors.
