CHATSWORTH

Head of Trading

The role of Head of Trading will have responsibility for the Duke of Devonshire’s retailing and catering operations in Derbyshire and Yorkshire. This is an exciting and challenging position for a commercial professional to improve several differing business ventures and develop new ones.
Reporting to the Group CEO, the role will have a broad responsibility for retailing, catering and functions management and sits as part of the group senior management team.

The Role:

• Devise a sustainable growth strategy for existing retail and catering operations and develop new businesses through brand and channel expansion.

• Sustain a distinctive brand identity, expressed through shops, restaurants and functions and amplified in all menus, marketing and POS literature

• Evolve systems, skills and the structure to generate better results

The Candidate:

• A background in high end retailing and/or catering with a track record of developing new opportunities and nurturing a distinct customer service ethos

• Proven success in senior management previously, with strong leadership and financial management capability

• Empathy for the brand - striking a balance between the customer, commercial success and a unique culture

Full Time Payroll Clerk

An interesting position has arisen in the busy, friendly accounts department at Chatsworth. The successful candidate will be able to professionally operate multiple payrolls: paid weekly, fortnightly and monthly. A sound working knowledge of general windows based payroll packages is essential as is ability to work to tight deadlines. Applicants must be calm under pressure and be a committed team player. Excellent staff benefit package available.

Volunteer Opportunities

Chatsworth is proud of our visitor welcome and our knowledgeable and interesting provision of information. You can help improve this even further by volunteering one, two or more days a week at Chatsworth as part of our visitor welcome team.

No experience is necessary but an interest in historic houses or customer care is essential.

The role will be mainly outdoors and may also involve driving buggies that provide visitor transport.

Although these are volunteer positions a benefits package will be provided.

The Devonshire Arms, Beeley

Located on the Chatsworth Estate, The Devonshire Arms at Beeley is a traditional English country pub with a contemporary twist, oak beams, open fires and nooks and crannies. It is also the perfect spot to relax whist being served cask ales and quality food and wines in the vibrant Brasserie.
