Casual Security Officer

An interesting position has arisen for the post of Security Officer working on an ad hoc, as and when required basis. The shifts will mostly be 12 hours but occasionally shorter shifts may be required and will include both day and evenings shifts to cover for holidays, absence and other events.

The successful applicant will provide an efficient service and warm welcome to a wide range of people including VIP’s, visitors, staff and the emergency services. 

Flexibility will be a key element of the role and all applicants must possess excellent communication skills, able to deliver great customer care without compromising security.

You should be able to work in a calm and competent manner both alone and as part of a team; have previous experience of working with computers; maintaining vigilant observations; monitor and respond quickly and appropriately to intruder alarm, fire alarm and local monitoring systems and CCTV.

You should also be able to carry out efficient security patrols including internal, external and mobile patrols; operate control room equipment and maintain routine security records.  

Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.  Applicants must be prepared to undergo a DBS check and hold a full driving licence. Previous applicants need not apply.

Customer Service Assistants
Carriage House Restaurant 

Two customer service assistants are sought to join the Carriage House Restaurant working one day per week until January 2016. 

Your duties will include; clearing tables, serving customers, working on the till, serving hot drinks, serving hot food and keeping the restaurant clean and tidy.

Previous experience in this area is not essential as we will provide full training. Our aim is to always offer the Chatsworth visitor a level of customer service that exceeds expectations and therefore we are looking for applicants who are friendly, committed and enjoy working as part of a team, providing exemplary customer service at all times.

Hours of work are 11.00am until 5.30pm on a Sunday with the possibility of increased hours during our busiest periods and to cover holidays.

Customer Service Assistants
Cavendish Restaurant 

Two customer service assistants are sought to join the popular Cavendish Restaurant at Chatsworth, working until early January 2016. 

The Cavendish Restaurant provides a broad selection of high quality food for our visitor, ranging from tea and coffee to a three course lunch or a Laurent-Perrier Champagne afternoon tea. 

You will work within a friendly team, greeting customers, providing full table service, working on the till and serving hot and cold drinks. Whilst previous experience in a restaurant environment would be beneficial, this is not essential as we will provide full training. 

We aim to offer the Chatsworth visitor an exceptional level of customer service and you will assist us in delivering that quality experience. Therefore you should be friendly, cheerful and enjoy working as part of a team, taking pride in delivering great customer service at all times.

The days/hours of work are: 
• Position one - 16 hours per week; from 11am-5.30pm on Saturday & Sunday, and from 12pm-4pm on Monday. 

• Position two – 17.5 hours per week; from 11am-5.30pm on Tuesday, from 9.30am-5.30pm on Friday and from 12pm-4pm on Saturday.

The Devonshire Arms, Beeley

Located on the Chatsworth Estate, The Devonshire Arms at Beeley is the recipient of many awards including 'Good Food Guide Country Pub of the Year', 'Derbyshire Pub of the Year' and 'Yorkshire Pub of the Year' together with achieving a 2AA Rosette status. The Devonshire Arms, Pilsley
