A voluntary position has been newly created for a Volunteer Co-ordinator with an interest in historic houses to assist in ensuring the efficiency of the visitor welcome volunteer team.
Our volunteers and visitor welcome team are the key to the customer experience, providing exceptional customer service to every visitor and going the extra mile to ensure our high standards are withheld at all times.
As the main point of contact for the volunteer team, you will make sure that all areas of the visitor experience are covered, including creating daily rotas, monitoring volunteer levels for the coming month and being a point of contact for information to supervisors. You must be able to proactively approach, talk and provide a warm and friendly welcome to all visitors to Chatsworth House, Garden and Farmyard as well as dealing with any customer queries that may arise.
A friendly, outgoing personality is needed, along with a flexible approach to work as part of a team. You must be customer focused and demonstrate excellent organisational skills. IT skills are an advantage as well as an awareness of Health and Safety procedures.
One to two set days per week are required to be shared by up to four successful applicants (by agreement) 10am-5pm, Monday to Sunday inclusive.
Alongside the chance to develop new skills, make new friends and gain experience for your C.V, Chatsworth volunteers are also entitled to an estate pass and reasonable travel expenses are reimbursed.
