Chatsworth Estate Farm Shop
An exciting opportunity has become available for a committed and passionate retail manager at our award winning estate farm shop.
This is a ‘hands on’ role, both office and shop floor based, supporting the Head of the Estate Farm Shop with all operational requirements, taking particular responsibility for IT functions including: rostering, time & attendance and managing the EPOS system.
An important aspect of the role is staff management and maintaining our outstanding customer care, which you will achieve by: effective recruitment, managing performance, developing individuals and working alongside our trainer to keep customer care standards at the highest levels possible.
You will also assist the HOD with financial procedures including managing and presenting budgets.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to develop good external relationships with suppliers and internal relationships with your colleagues across the estate.
You will be required to organise and operate retail events including food fairs, Country fair and the Christmas shop marquee.
You should be a manager, junior manager from a retail background, ideally food related, with experience of managing large teams. Experience in writing reports, controlling budgets, excellent IT computer skills and an awareness of Health and Safety COSHH and HACCP procedures are also essential.
Hours of work total 40 per week, working 5 out of 7 on a rota basis which includes weekend and occasional evening work.
