Learn how to create a series of prints using a variety of printing techniques in this six-week advanced printmaking course, based in the Chatsworth Garden art studio – the Old Potting Shed. Enjoy limited access to the garden during the closed season to inspire your work.

This session is suitable for those who have completed the six week printmaking course at Chatsworth or who have previous experience of basic printmaking.

The course will cover a variety of techniques over the sessions, including observational drawing techniques, safe use of tools, mark making, transferring your design and printing techniques. Printing techniques will include monoprinting, lino print, collagraph, drypoint and experimental printing.

There will be opportunity to expand your understanding of printmaking and work on your own projects.

Please note this course takes place during the closed season at Chatsworth so not all areas of the site will be open. The Old Potting Shed is a step free, accessible venue but please contact education@chatsworth.org if you have any questions about your specific needs.

Part of the session may be outdoors, walking in all weather. Please wear suitable footwear and clothing.

Please meet at the top garden gates (near the Stables) at 9.20am before each session. Tea and coffee will be provided.
