Learn how to make delicate paper flowers using recycled paper, card and wire and develop them into a beautiful spring wreath or posy.
You will be supported throughout the day by our experienced tutor who will guide you through every step of the process, creating a range of spring flowers perfect to brighten your home. From making individual petals to creating specific flowers and modular flower shapes made up of cut petals, this is a great opportunity to develop the delicate skill of paper art. All materials will be provided but you are welcome to bring along any of your own wrapping paper that you may like to use in your design.
After the workshop enjoy entry to the Chatsworth Garden.
The workshop will be based in our art studio - the Old Potting Shed. Tickets include tea and coffee throughout the day and a delicious graze box picnic lunch provided by the Chatsworth Farm Shop – please note we will be in touch to confirm your dietary requirements. Please email education@chatsworth.org if you have any specific access requirements.
About the artist
Paperbased is run by Kim Bevan, an artist and teacher who provides workshops for all ages here at Chatsworth and in her own studio in Sheffield. In her own practice she makes artist books which play around with 3D sculptural folding techniques and creates artwork using paper cutting and printmaking.
