Join an expert from our landscape team on a guided walk of Stand Wood, taking in the beautiful colours of the season. The tour will focus on the flora and fauna found in the woodland, and the team will share how they go about maintaining the 400 acres of woodlands while following a sustainable approach to land management.
This small group tour will offer plenty of opportunity to speak to our landscape team and ask questions about the historic Stand Wood and its importance to the Chatsworth Estate.
The tour will take place whatever the weather so please dress appropriately. We recommend sturdy boots or wellies and warm wet weather clothes. Please note that dogs are not permitted on the landscape tours. The route includes some steep inclines and steps and walking along forest tracks with the potential for mud. Unsuitable for buggies or wheelchairs. If you would like to join this event and have questions about accessibility, please contact us at education@chatsworth.org so we can discuss your specific requirements.
Please meet at the top of Lodge Hill outside the entrance to the stables, under the clock tower.
