During her residency at Chatsworth in 2018-19, Linder made a film called Bower of Bliss. The locations for the film included sites in the house and grounds, where, in the 1500s, Mary Queen of Scots was detained under the jurisdiction of Elizabeth I. In the film are sites including Mary’s Bower, where it is rumoured Mary Queen of Scots took exercise when she was held at Chatsworth by its then occupants, Bess of Hardwick and the Earl of Shrewsbury. Learn more about Linder's residency.

The first chapter of Bower of Bliss was shown at Glasgow Women’s Library in 2019, and the second chapter is released on 6 March 2020 in an evening event and performance at the library.

Bower of Bliss is looping as part of Linder’s exhibition Linderism Kettle's Yard, Cambridge on until 26 April.
