Really excited to see work progressing on the hundreds of ceramic tulips Paul Cummins is making for display outside in the garden, to co-incide with our Florabundance flower festival. Paul is a Derbyshire-based artist, and the Duke of Devonshire and Chatsworth House Trust have invited him to install a dazzling display of specially made tulips in a pair of borders that all visitors will see as they leave the house, from late April until mid-May. Paul's work can be seen at www.paulcumminsceramics.com and we hope he will be giving talks about his work while the installation, titled 'Floralia', is in place.

Florabundance itself lasts from 1-6 May, with every room decorated with spring flowers and floral installations, led by Jonathan Moseley and our garden team. Outside, visitors will also see more than 15,000 tulips in bloom, kindly donated by de Jager bulbs. It is set to be a very colourful and artistic spring.
