After 19 very happy years, I leave Chatsworth today, to embark on a freelance career. I take so many happy memories of this special place, somewhere I have loved since the age of 10, when I saw a photograph of the South Front like this one, and to which I owe so much. I have loved working with the Duke and Duchess, and the previous Duke and current Dowager, and have made many friends among my colleagues. There is a unique spirit to Chatsworth, something about its love of the new, its restless energy, fabulous beauty and the warmth of its welcome, which is deep in the DNA of this entire place, from top to bottom. Many people, from all over the world, rightly feel that to see Chatsworth once in a lifetime is something not to be missed, and I have been lucky enough to be immersed in it for 19 rich, challenging and fulfilling years. I feel very blessed. Thank you Chatsworth, and good luck to my successor, Sally Hogg, and my wonderful colleagues Cat, Steph and Claire.
