This is my first blog post and first week as assistant manager at the farm shop. May has arrived, together with some long awaited sunshine, and the views across the estate from the restaurant are beautiful. (A view now called 'Tony’s View’ after our late head baker, Tony Robb, who loved the outlook from here).

Our restaurant is holding another popular Wine and Supper Club Evening on the 23rd May with a three course meal and wines to match. It's sure to be a good evening.

May’s cheeses of the month have been carefully selected and we have a great spring cheeseboard of:

  • Lincolnshire Poacher
  • St Endellion Brie
  • Thomas Hoe Stevenson Vintage Red Leicester
  • Blue Wensleydale
  • White Stilton with Lemon

There will be tastings of these every day throughout May - so come along and try them, and we have English asparagus and Jersey Royal potatoes now in stock!

Our butchers are working hard producing new sausage recipes ready for the barbecue season, and our bakers are creating new artisan breads and cakes, which are proving a great success.

So, with May looking like an exciting month at the farm shop and restaurant, I hope you will visit us very soon.
