Chatsworth has been in the media this week as we are hosting our annual Beyond Limits sculpture exhibition with Sotheby’s. We’ve been the first to display two new works by Damien Hirst, named Myth, a life sized unicorn, and Legend, the Pegasus. They have half of their skins missing to reveal the anatomy beneath, and are placed beautifully (though this may vary with personal opinion) at the end of the Canal Pond.

The sculpture selection ranges with the serenity of Jaume Plensa’s ‘Chloe’s World’ (pictured) to the dramatic, with Ji Yong-Ho’s ‘Lion 2’, which is a favourite among visitors who have already seen it in the garden. I’m sure that every visitor will be able to pick out at least one favourite. We’ve already noticed pictures popping up as people post their photos online, one in particular being the focus of rude analogies (I’m not going to say which).

Take a look at the sculpture map to see exactly what is on display. There are also free guided tours every day at 11.30 and 2.30pm for anybody who would like to learn more about the pieces. All the key information is on www.chatsworth.org/beyondlimits
