We are such cheese lovers here at Chatsworth, we just couldn’t miss celebrating National Cheese Week at the farm shop.

Every day from 24 until 30 September, will be themed around a different type of cheese and we’ll be talking, tasting and inviting suppliers and cheese-makers to the farm shop to chat and eat. We have over 104 different cheeses available from our deli, so we’re hoping that if you come and see us during cheese week, you will be tempted to try something new, and hopefully find your new favourite.

We’re starting with soft cheeses on Monday, like Channel Island Brie, Bally Oak smoked Brie and Bally Blue, and then moving on to the strong stuff. Tuesday is blue cheese day, and Wednesday will be based around smoked cheese. On Thursday we’re being a bit adventurous, with fruit and flavoured cheeses, and again we’re hoping to introduce people to new flavours (Y-Fenni with Mustard and Ale perhaps?). Friday is good-old Cheddar day. At the weekend we’ll be picking the best of British, with regional cheeses on Saturday, and on Sunday going continental, with the best of Europe.

So, whether you love cheese as much as us, or just fancy a chat and a sample, come and see us next week.
