Chatsworth has evolved through the centuries to reflect the tastes, passions and interests of 16 generations of the Cavendish
family. There are over 30 rooms to explore, containing works of art that span 4,000 years, from ancient Roman and Egyptian
sculpture to work by outstanding modern artists, including Lucian Freud and Damien Hirst. Don’t miss the extensive mineral collection or the North Sketch Sequence, a DNA-inspired take on a family portrait.

There’s lots to inspire your group on a self-guided visit or you can request a house tour (details below) to get a deeper insight into the history of the house and the stories of those who have lived here.
