Chatsworth

Employee Relations Advisor

An opportunity has arisen of a new ER role based in the friendly HR & Payroll team at Chatsworth. In this role you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Group HR & Safety Director providing advice on ER matters and gaining generalist experience in a wide range of HR activities, across several business sectors including: retail, catering, visitor attraction, farms, hotels and more.

You will have particular responsibility for the consistency and efficiency our ER processes. This part of your work load will often be reactive; where you will work alone, on individual cases and alongside the Director on larger or complex projects. You will also provide general HR advice, mostly over the telephone, to a diverse workforce up to senior level.

This is a busy office and you will also support the team with on-boarding admin process and associated compliance, including monitoring of probationary periods, amendment to contracts and DBS checks.

Applicants should be CIPD qualified, with some ER experience and able to demonstrate a good understanding of employment law. You must be able to write professionally and concisely and be a competent user of the Microsoft office suite including word, excel and power point, the ability to prioritize your own workload is essential.

This is a full-time, permanent position working 35  hours per week, Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5.00pm.

HR Administrator

An interesting opportunity has arisen within the friendly HR and Payroll team for an HR administrator.

In this role you will play an important part in ensuring new staff receive their documentation and any information they require in a timely and efficient manner by producing contracts, offer letters and starter packs.

You will also help maintain an efficient HR service by keeping accurate records, chasing up missing documents and reporting on any discrepancies.

Your role will include assisting the HR Director with various projects and social events as well as providing PA support including: taking minutes, writing letters and short articles, arranging meetings and travel.

An administrative background is essential, with excellent writing and communication skills. Experience in HR would be an advantage. A commitment to maintain absolute confidentiality and adhere to the Data Protection Act is essential.

This is a full-time, permanent post, working a total 35 per week, from 9.00am to 5.00pm on Monday to Friday.

Kitchen Porter

Catering department

Opportunities are available for kitchen porters within our friendly catering team at Chatsworth.

You will ensure that a clean, hygienic environment is maintained in the kitchen by cleaning surfaces and maintaining order.    You will also provide an adequate supply of clean pans, crockery and cutlery.   Flexibility is essential in this role and you should be willing to help out in other areas of the catering department including assisting the chefs with basic food preparation.

You should be able to work quickly and efficiently, be self-motivated, with the ability to work well under pressure.  Ideally, you will have a food hygiene certificate with previous experience of working in a busy restaurant kitchen but this is not essential as full training will be provided. 

Permanent hours are 40 per week, 5 out of 7 days including weekends, with the occasional need for additional hours in busy periods - working March to December each year.  Casual hours are offered on an as and when required basis.

Receptionist
Maternity Cover

A full-time receptionist position is available from 1 March 2019 at the Cavendish Hotel, Baslow.

This is an important post, as you will often be the first person our customers meet, and your exemplary customer care standards will set the tone for the whole of the Hotel, ensuring our guests receive end to end first rate, friendly and efficient service.

Your duties will include; answering telephone calls, checking-in and out guests efficiently, processing guest administration, handling payment transactions, answering customer enquiries and ensuring public areas are presented to a high standard.

You will be an excellent communicator, a proficient IT user and have previous experience handling administration. Being organized and methodical in your approach to work, you will also be skilled at prioritising your workload to help respond to guest needs as efficiently as possible.

Experience of a hotel reservation system (such as Rezlynx or Resdiary), an awareness of industry standards and knowledge of the local area are all desirable.

This is a full-time position covering maternity leave and flexibility is essential to be able to work varied shifts that include weekends, bank holidays, early starts and late finishes; generally 7am to 3pm, or 3pm to 11pm.
