Opportunities are available for enthusiastic, out-going individuals to join our friendly volunteer team here at Chatsworth.
Our volunteers work alongside the visitor welcome team and are key to our customer experience, providing a warm welcome and exceptional customer service to every visitor.
This is an outdoor, visitor-facing role that is ideal for individuals who are reliable, resilient and like to be kept busy. Within your role, you will be responsible for driving access buggies, delivering outstanding customer service and engaging with visitors to provide information about Chatsworth House.
Working as part of a team is key in this role. We are looking for flexible individuals who enjoy communicating and interacting with the public. Candidates speaking a second language would be at a distinct advantage.
Alongside the chance to develop new skills, make new friends and gain experience for your CV, Chatsworth volunteers are also entitled to an estate pass and reasonable travel expenses are reimbursed.
We are currently seeking volunteers for a Saturday and/or Sunday, although should you be interested in other days, please do enquire as shown below.

Opportunities are available for enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our friendly team of skilled horticulturalists and volunteers in the gardens here at Chatsworth.
These positions are offered between Monday and Friday and are predominately outdoor roles suitable for individuals with a keen interest in horticulture who are both reliable, and appreciative of historical gardens and landscapes.
Our horticultural volunteers work alongside the garden team, supporting them in maintaining and developing the gardens to an exceptionally high standard. A wide range of horticultural tasks will be experienced from work done in our greenhouses, nursery or extensive pleasure grounds, which contain borders lawns and woodland.
Being able to fit in with and work as part of an established team is key to this role. We are looking for flexible individuals who value Chatsworth’s heritage and enjoy communicating and interacting with other people. Ideally, you should be able to commit to a minimum of half a day per week throughout the open season.
In return, there is the chance to develop new skills, make new friends and gain practical experience for your CV. Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed and, after a probationary period as a volunteer, you will be issued with an estate pass, which entitles you to a wide range of exclusive additional benefits.
