Chatsworth is in the middle of the country, easily accessible from major roads with improving public transport links to the estate.
Arriving by car
There is a charged car park at the southern end of the park, open all year round, and charged parking near the house during our visitor season.
Pre-booked coach parking is free, as is parking for visitors with disabilities who show a blue badge.
Chatsworth is 8 miles north of Matlock off the B6012. It is 16 miles from the M1 Junction 29, signposted via Chesterfield (follow brown signs), 42 miles from the M6 Junction 19 and 30 minutes from Chesterfield rail station.

Arriving by Train
The closest station to Chatsworth is Chesterfield, through which East Midlands Trains operate regular trains to and from Derby. The station is located approximately 2 hours 15 minutes from London St Pancras. From here there are good public bus connections to Chatsworth. Arriving by Bus
There is an increasingly good bus service to Chatsworth and Baslow village.
The buses to Chatsworth stop outside the house and are a short walk from the house, garden and farmyard entrances.
Passengers arriving into Baslow village are able to access the park via a public footpath located opposite the Wheatsheaf Hotel. It is then a pleasant 2km walk to the House and attractions from here.
