£100 per person, including garden entry and lunch
Learn and explore the intaglio printing process in this full-day drypoint workshop. Throughout the day you will receive expert guidance on how to design and make a drypoint print.
You will be shown how to draw your designs using a drypoint etching tool, how to ink up your acetate plates and how to use the etching press to create your individual prints. There will also be the opportunity to explore the Chine-collé technique to add colour to your prints.
Images and inspiration will be provided but you could also transform one of your own drawing studies / photographs or printed images into a drypoint print - images should be no larger than A5 please.
No previous experience is required - our tutor will carefully guide you through each stage of the process. 18+
The workshop includes complimentary access to the Chatsworth garden, refreshments and a delicious locally sourced graze box lunch from the Chatsworth Farm Shop.
Please meet at the top garden gates (near the Stables) at 9:50am for a 10am start.

About the artist
This workshop is led by Diane Cooper, an art teacher of 18 years who now provides workshops for all ages here at Chatsworth and at her home studio. Diane is Fine Art trained and in her own practice she specializes in oil painting and printmaking using a range of processes.
