10.30am - 12.30pm | £65, includes entry to the garden and Celebrating Jane Austen

This special Chatsworth and Austen-themed embroidery workshop will be led by Derbyshire-based embroidery artist, Abigail Rose Creative.

Under expert guidance, learn a pastime practised by the 'most accomplished' of Mr Darcy's society in the Regency era.

In this workshop, you'll use time-honoured techniques and learn essential embroidery stitches to create your own Pemberley-inspired hoop, including how to work with metallic thread.

This bespoke design has been inspired by Chatsworth and celebrates 250 years since the birth of Jane Austen.  It features an outline of Chatsworth House surrounded by branches and flowers. The windows are stitched with gold thread, matching the windows of the real-life building, and beneath are the words “At that moment she felt that to be mistress of Pemberley might be something" - the very words Lizzie utters upon first glimpsing Mr. Darcy’s grand estate.
