Mind in Nature: Forest, Fire and Craft gives you permission to slow down and experience the Chatsworth landscape in a calm and mindful way.
About the session
Through guided sensory invitations, you’ll be encouraged to notice the sights and sounds around you. We’ll then gather around a small campfire for hot drinks and relaxed conversation before creating a simple clay pendant, bowl or decoration inspired by natural textures in the landscape. A welcoming session to connect, create and unwind in nature.

Please meet at the top garden gates (near the Stables) at 9.45am.
Accessibility
The event will take place at the Chatsworth Stickyard which is an outdoor, covered venue located in the Stand Wood near the Farmyard. There is a fairly steep incline to reach the venue. We will be going out into the Chatsworth Garden – please ensure you dress appropriately for the weather.

Wellbeing at Chatsworth in partnership with Derbyshire Mind
We are delighted to partner with Derbyshire Mind for these new Wellbeing at Chatsworth events, part of our Celebrating the Cascade fundraising campaign.
Derbyshire Mind is working in collaboration with Chatsworth’s Learning and Engagement team and offering six different events, one each month from May to October.
Each event is set within the beauty and calm of the garden and woodland and is focused on techniques to improve wellbeing and mood.
The public programme events for the Celebrating the Cascade have been subsidised to keep charges to a minimum.
A Celebrating the Cascade event
Our new Celebrating the Cascade wellness sessions have been designed to delight and inspire you. We invite you to enjoy the calm and beauty of nature in the garden and wider landscape. Find balance as you step away from daily routines and pause with us by still and flowing waters. We invite you to open your heart and mind to the environment and connect with our wonderful surroundings.
The Celebrating the Cascade project is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery Players, the project is working to restore the Cascade, safeguarding it for the enjoyment of future generations and enabling more people to get involved with Chatsworth.
