Price: £75 per person
Enjoy a day spending time in nature, learning relaxation, breathing and sensory awareness techniques to help develop your relationship with the natural world.
About the session
Focus upon the natural world around you under the guiding hand of herbalist Debbie Lincoln. There will be time spent out in the woods, amongst the trees and plants, learning lore of spring trees and plants. Then, forage for small harvests of buds, newly emerging shoots and herbs to create a healing spring vinegar. Traditionally, buds and emerging leaves from a number of plants and trees were gathered to create spring tonics to nourish and cleanse body and soul as we emerged from a long winter.
Participants will also have the opportunity to spend time out alone to join the bigger circle
of nature, a chance to sit and dream, reflect, day dream and deepening personal connection. We will end our retreat with a guided journey with the drum, and a final circle for sharing of personal reflections.
Please note that the vinegar will require completion at home, full instructions will be given.
Meeting Point and Refreshments
Please meet at the Stickyard at 9.50am for a 10am start.
The workshop includes a lunch prepared by the team at Chatsworth Farm Shop. This consists of a freshly made sandwich, a traybake, a piece of fruit, crisps and a drink. Tea and coffee is also provided. Please be aware our produce is made in an environment where all allergens are present. Please note any dietary requirements on your booking.
Accessibility
This event will take place at the Chatsworth Stickyard which is an outdoor, covered venue located in the Stand Wood near the Farmyard. There is a fairly steep incline to reach the venue. We invite you to open your heart and mind to the environment and connect with our wonderful surroundings.
The Celebrating the Cascade project is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery Players, the project is working to restore the Cascade, safeguarding it for the enjoyment of future generations and enabling more people to get involved with Chatsworth.
