7pm to 8pm
Price: 12.50
Immerse yourself in rhythmic movements inspired by the Chatsworth waterways in this twilight yoga session.
About the Session
Cascade Flow Yoga takes place in the quiet of the riverside at dusk, overlooking Chatsworth. Flow Yoga is a dynamic style of yoga with movements that flow between postures. Take time to connect mind, body, and spirit as you harmonize breath with movement, finding balance and rejuvenation in each part of the flowing sequence. Practicing at sunset, you’ll experience the calming transition of nature’s rhythms and leave feeling grounded, refreshed, lightened, and inspired by the fading light.
Meeting Point
Please meet at Queen Mary's Bower for 6.50pm. Queen Mary's Bower is the stone building on the left hand side as you cross the bridge into the Chatsworth car park. Please note, there is a short walk down the hill from the car park to the Bower.
Important Information
Please wear comfortable clothes and bring your own yoga mat and blankets. As the session takes place at twilight, we recommend bringing extra layers, socks, and a bottle of water to stay warm and comfortable. If you have any questions regarding accessibility, please contact [email protected].
About the Instructor
Rebecca Lee Close is Canadian born, living in Sheffield with her children, dog, and husband. She has been teaching yoga since 2016 and practising for over 20 years.
As a former ship's captain, Rebecca found yoga as a way to practice self-care mentally and physically while away at sea.
Rebecca's training is originally in Anusara based yoga which focuses on alignment principles. She has gone on to develop her teaching to include restorative, yin, pain-care, postnatal, mobility, and move-with-love practices. Her classes are varied energy wise depending on who’s in attendance and what the overall focus is. They are always light-hearted, detail-oriented, and full of options to suit nearly all bodies.
A Celebrating the Cascade event
Our new Celebrating the Cascade wellness sessions have been designed to delight and inspire you. We invite you to enjoy the calm and beauty of nature in the garden and wider landscape. Find balance as you step away from daily routines and pause with us by still and flowing waters. We invite you to open your heart and mind to the environment and connect with our wonderful surroundings.
The Celebrating the Cascade project is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery Players, the project is working to restore the Cascade, safeguarding it for the enjoyment of future generations and enabling more people to get involved with Chatsworth.
If you would like to support this project, please make a donation to Chatsworth House Trust here.
