The Hartington Room, Chatsworth Stables
Over 500 years, and through seventeen generations, the Devonshires have amassed a vast private library, part of which can be seen when you visit Chatsworth House today.
Katherine Hardwick Kulpa, Assistant Curator of the Devonshire Collections, shares the history of the spaces that have housed these books, both at Chatsworth and other family residences.
This talk forms part of a programme of events supporting Chatsworth House Trust's 2026 exhibition, House of Stories: Tales from Chatsworth Library.

Please make your way to The Hartington Room, through The Cavendish Restaurant off the Stables Courtyard.
Doors will open at 10.40am for a prompt start at 11am.
