Learn more about the Celebrating the Cascade project with Learning & Engagement Manager, Anita Fox and Philanthropy Manager, Miles Stevenson. This talk will share some of the fascinating stories being uncovered about Chatsworth’s historic water feature and cover the plans and fundraising campaign for its restoration.

The Cascade stands at the centre of the Chatsworth Garden and landscape. This Grade 1 listed monument, and its anticipated restoration, is the inspiration for many of our learning and engagement events this summer.

Anita and Miles will share details of the project, exploring the secrets of the water artery, how it all works and the impact the Cascade has had over time and today.

About the session

The Hartington Room is a step free, accessible venue. Please note on your booking if you require space for a wheelchair or mobility scooter.

A Celebrating the Cascade event

The Celebrating the Cascade project is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery Players, the project is working to restore the Cascade, safeguarding it for the enjoyment of future generations and enabling more people to get involved with Chatsworth.

If you would like to support this project, please make a donation to Chatsworth House Trust here.
