Join one of the Landscape team for a walk through Stand Wood, when Britain's birds are at their most vocal.

As the sun rises, we’ll walk through the Stand Wood, listening to the many birds found on the Chatsworth Estate. Led by an expert from our Landscape team, you’ll learn why birds sing at dawn, how to recognise different species by sound and which birds are most active at this time of day.

Meeting point

Please meet at the Clocktower at the top of Lodge Hill at 5am.

Accessibility

The Stand Wood is not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies. The walk will include inclines and steps – please email [email protected] if you have any questions about accessibility. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy shoes or walking boots. Please bring a torch for use on arrival.
