Join our expert textiles team for a deep delve into the historic costumes in the Devonshire Collection.
Begin the morning with a tour of the house, focussing on how costume is depicted in a selection of famous portraits that adorn the walls of Chatsworth.
After an hour tour you will have the opportunity to discover some of the fascinating items kept in the Chatsworth costume collection, with a special trip behind the scenes into the textiles conservation rooms.
End the morning with an illustrated talk from our textile team in The Old Potting Shed, accompanied by tea, coffee and biscuits.
The day includes refreshments and the afternoon is free for you to explore the house and garden at your leisure. Entry to the house and garden is included with your ticket.

Please note the route to the conservation rooms is not step free and may not be suitable for some visitors. Please email education@chatsworth.org if you have any accessibility needs and we will be able to advise.
