Learn how to develop a range of drawing techniques and create new compositions inspired by nature in winter, in the beautiful Chatsworth Garden art studio, The Old Potting Shed.

About the session

In this workshop, you will be given the opportunity to 'get to know' your drawing tools and learn and develop effective observation techniques to apply on location studies with an experienced tutor.

The day will cover:

  • Exploring different areas of the garden to carry out observational drawings of winter flora and fauna, focusing on colour, shape and tone.
  • Accessing more plants grown at Chatsworth, and learning how to develop your observational studies to create a series of images

Our tutor will be on hand throughout the day, to encourage you along and answer your questions.

This session offers a special opportunity to access Chatsworth Garden during the workshop, while it's closed for winter.

No previous drawing experience is required - our experienced tutor will carefully guide you through each stage of the process.
