Join us for a special opportunity to take a deep dive into the ‘Mirror Mirror: Reflections on Design at Chatsworth’ exhibition with one of the Chatsworth curators, Alex Hodby or Sash Giles, alongside exhibition co-curator Glenn Adamson.

Chatsworth has always been a centre for creativity, with successive generations of the Devonshire family commissioning art and design contemporary to their times. Mirror Mirror reflects on that history and introduces new works to the house and garden, continuing this legacy into the present day.

Explore the exhibition with expert guidance from the curatorial team behind the show in a small group guided tour before the house opens to the public.

The exhibition places original works in direct relationship to the historic design at Chatsworth, creating unexpected connections with the architecture, interiors, furniture, and ceramics, as well as its essential materials of glass, stone, wood, and light.

The sixteen international artists and designers featured in the exhibition are: Ini Archibong, Michael Anastassiades, Wendell Castle, Andile Dyalvane, Ndidi Ekubia, Najla El Zein, Formafantasma, Joris Laarman, Max Lamb,  Fernando Laposse, Jay Sae Jung Oh, Samuel Ross, Chris Schanck, Ettore Sottsass, Faye Toogood, and Joseph Walsh.

Expect behind-the-scenes insights into the planning of the exhibition during this intimate tour.

Once the tour finishes at 10.45am you will have the opportunity to explore the exhibition, house, and garden at your own pace and enjoy a complimentary hot drink from Flora's café in the Chatsworth Garden.
