Join us in the garden and the farmyard this summer and discover a range of activities that every member of the family can take part in, with a different theme each week.
Many of the activities are included in your entry ticket.
Butterfly Week: Monday 28 July - Sunday 3 August
Join us for a week of butterfly-themed activities in the Garden, Farmyard and Stickyard. Take part in the nationwide citizen-science project The Big Butterfly Count.
Decorate your own Butterfly Wings and Wands

Tree Week: Monday 4 - Sunday 10 August
Create nature-inspired art using leaves, twigs and bark, join a guided woodland walk and learn about different tree species in the Farmyard & Adventure Playground, or participate in the Big Tree Climb in Stand Wood and experience trees from a different perspective.

Celebrate nature with us and enjoy flower themed crafts and walks, while learning about the role of flowers in nature.

Also in the Farmyard & Adventure Playground
In the farmyard you can meet our friendly animals, from pigs and horses to mischievous goats and guinea pigs, many of whom you can feed, pet or even cuddle.
In the playground, climb our tall towers for a bird's eye view, descend at speed on our racing slides, scramble across the wood tangle, zip on the zip wire, dig in the giant sand pit or use an Archimedes screw to fetch water from the stream...there are hours of adventures in store.
