Join us for relaxing and restorative evening Yin Yoga sessions at the Chatsworth Stickyard. In these sessions, we will focus upon a quiet inner exploration of yoga practice.
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga where poses are held for longer periods, typically targeting the deep connective tissues and aiming to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility.
The theme of each class will be unique to the day, focussing on a different body part and movement while offering calm and steadiness to your mind.
Participants are also invited to stay for refreshments and conversation around the fire pit as a relaxing end to this calming wellness yoga practice.
About the sessions
The event will be based at the Chatsworth Stickyard which is an outdoor, covered venue located in the Stand Wood near the Farmyard. There is a fairly steep incline to reach the venue.
Yin yoga is very slow flow so please wear comfortable clothes (with layers and socks) and bring your own mats, blankets and pillows. We will also provide extra blankets, mats and blocks should the evening air in July be a little colder than expected. The session is outside but under cover.
A Celebrating the Cascade event
Our new Celebrating the Cascade wellness sessions have been designed to delight and inspire you. We invite you to enjoy the calm and beauty of nature in the garden and wider landscape. Find balance as you step away from daily routines and pause with us by still and flowing waters. We invite you to open your heart and mind to the environment and connect with our wonderful surroundings.
The Celebrating the Cascade project is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery Players, the project is working to restore the Cascade, safeguarding it for the enjoyment of future generations and enabling more people to get involved with Chatsworth.
If you would like to support this project, please make a donation to Chatsworth House Trust here.
