Further information
Prams, pushchairs and baby carriers
To care for the house and its historic collections, please use a front-facing baby carrier and leave pushchairs and buggies in a designated area outside.
We are happy to loan you one of our carriers or hip seats for the duration of your house visit
Bags, rucksacks and luggage storage
To help us to protect our historic interiors, please leave large bags in the left luggage room to the right of the park shop. You will need a £1 coin as a refundable deposit. Please do not forget to collect your bag after your house visit. View our site map to locate the luggage room, using the 'left luggage' icon by the garden entrance (number 8).
Smaller bags may be brought into the house but should be carried on the front, side or in your hand.
Please do not carry them on your back as they may cause damage to historic wallcoverings or objects on display.
